The Climate Resilience Fund's (CRF) Coordination and Collaboration in the Resilience Ecosystem (CCRE) Program has released its Request For Proposals for 2021. The CCRE Program is made possible through a unique partnership between CRF and the CPO Communication, Education, and Engagement (CEE) Division, with generous support from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.

This year's grant competition will provide up to $300,000 in strategic investments in the following areas:

• Integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into Climate Resilience Planning
• Integrating Nature-Based Solutions with Resilience Planning
• Defining Characteristics for Finance-Ready Resilience Plans and Projects
• Measuring Success: Tracking Performance & Results of Climate Resilience Plans and Projects

In addition to addressing one of these goals or deliverables, prospective grantees must structure their proposals to fit within the framework of the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit (USCRT)’s Steps to Resilience, and align with the Resilience Ecosystem’s Theory of Change.

Since 2017, the CCRE Program has provided 21 grants totaling nearly $1 million for projects contributing to the advancement of the Resilience Ecosystem of climate services providers working to support communities across the nation. These grants have helped create widely applicable tools and resources - databases of effective resilience strategies and qualified adaptation experts, guidance for integrating equitable solutions into adaptation decision making, urban heat island maps, and tools for identifying neighborhoods and communities most at-risk from climate change.
