CAP/RISA briefs Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Climate Change Professionals

At the request of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Caitlin Simpson and Sean Bath of the CPO Climate Adaptation Partnerships (CAP)/RISA program gave a presentation to the new cohort of DHS climate change professionals on December 2. This cohort of professionals will rotate through DHS over a two year period and will focus on climate change issues. Caitlin and Sean gave an overview of the CAP/RISA program goals, network accomplishments, recent expansion activities, and tools of relevance to DHS. There was a lively discussion about our work, especially the knowledge and tools being generated. In addition, following the meeting, contacts for other efforts across CPO were shared with the DHS professionals.
